"As we near the holiday season, we'd like to once again thank you and all the donors of Ultrapatriot.com, for the donated calling cards which are distributed by our offices in Iraq, Kuwait, and Afghanistan...." Red Cross, October '09 Click here for the entire text.
"......all who support this drive are putting their words to action. You have no idea the feeling you get when you get a letter or card or anything from a perfect stranger. From something as insignificant as a cup of coffee... to something as powerful as a phone card to call home. Awesome. There are countless numbers of young men and woman, 18 years and older, in various FOBs, COPs, and OPs around the country, in the plains and mountains, who see things each day that would blow your mind. Giving them more than the standard 15 mins a week call we get from Uncle Sam is just plain cool." Soldier, December '09
"Cards really do help soldiers....... Having phone time with your family makes all the difference in the morale and capability of soldiers. Please donate, if not for the soldiers, then for their husbands, wives, sons and daughters, who have to live without their spouse or parent for weeks, months, even years at a stretch.." Joel, November '09
"A public thanks.....for once again making this happen. It makes it easy for the rest of us to do just a little something for our guys and gals stuck in nasty places doing a hard, risky job." Ed, November '09
"......no matter how good or bad our year was it pales in comparison to the service our troops do for us... and thank you for what you do to make this happen." Mitch, October '09
"......Wish there had been something like this 40-odd years ago." Brian, October '09
"On behalf of the men and women in the U.S. military who benefit from your support, the American Red Cross extends our deepest appreciation to UltraPatriot for raising money to purchase calling cards...." Red Cross, December '08 Click here for the entire text.
"I didn't think twice about donating again. I have my own personal reasons for doing this but the cause is worthy and benefits those soldiers that are a long way from home. It's hard to imagine the first timer (newbie), young soldier just out of Basic and AIT and going to Kuwait for orientation and then on to Iraq or Afghanistan for their first full tour of duty overseas as a soldier. Comfort zone is gone, new unit, new comrades to train with and develop and strengthen that trust factor that anyone in combat expects. The adrenalin has to be flowing, anticipation of what the next hour or day or week will bring. And you know what has to be a somewhat calming factor is a familiar voice from home whether it be a parent, wife, friend, the old goat down at the corner gas station that you worked for through high school....something familiar outside of what is reality that is being faced on a daily basis. I don't say much about this subject due to personal nature of the subject and then again, there's times I can't say enough. I know its hard economic times...... but any amount that can be added to this fund is worthwhile. It's not seen or heard or touched by us the donors but this is something that will have a definite effect over the holidays for maybe that one soldier really needing a familiar voice to speak to.......... RIP Son" Kirk, December '08
"As a soldier in the Army, I have to thank you for doing this. I tell you, you will never see a smile so big as a deployed soldier working 18+ hour days 7 days a week when he receives a care package. It's practically a holiday for them. It truly does help, and we all appreciate it a ton." Soldier, December '08
"I am writing this from my "Hooch" at Camp Victory in Baghdad.... I can tell you from recent experience these cards really are appreciated by the hard working soldiers over here. The USO at Camp Virginia in Kuwait handed out these phone cards and they came in very handy......." Soldier, November '08
"Thanks very much for your effort.... Even if things are tough at home our soldiers have it tougher." Mark, October '08
"I want to thank everyone on here that's donating. I'm in Bagdad right now...... It's great to know that people at home support us. I think it's great that most people, whether they support the war or not, support us." Soldier, August '08
"Wow that is great. I just got back from Afghanistan after 15 months with the 82nd Airborne. I think this is awesome guys....." Soldier, July '08
"Prior Army myself and this is a good thing you guys are doing......." Michael, July '08
"As an active duty soldier for the last 24 years I would just like to take a moment to say "THANK YOU". It is always nice to hear an appreciative word or a warm thank you and for those that are deployed it is extra nice to get things like this. It takes special people to recognize that "freedom isn't free". Again, thank you and everyone that has given or shown their continued support for the soldiers." Soldier, July '08
"...I want to say that is awesome of you guys to help the troops. I served in Iraq for a year and it was literally hell on earth. And support from people back home is what keeps you alive....so even though I'm no longer in the military I want to say thank you to you guys." Soldier, March '08
"...thanks for this and most of all thanks to those who give so much for our freedom. We support and appreciate you. My son did come home safely after three trips to Iraq but I know there are many still there. God Bless each and every one of you." Tom, January '08
"As the mother of a young soldier serving in Iraq, I can tell you how precious those phone calls home are! There is nothing as comforting as hearing his voice. I applaud your efforts and appreciate your support for our service men and women." Chris, December '07
